A complete renovation and expansion of the existing Burn Center to create an appropriate environment for burn victims to recover in.  The Unit will also serve wound patients.  The project included the solving of serious existing code deficiencies, variance negotiation with the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development, and the provision of a separate-independent mechanical system. Careful consideration of and coordination with the adjacent facilities was required in order to proceed with a minimum of disruption. The project includes a 6 bed ICU and support facilities.
