New K-8 School Site
The overall feel of the school layout is consistent with the rural, landscaped character of Rancho Santa Fe. At the center of the campus is the main courtyard and social gathering place. Surrounding this courtyard are the shared campus activities and uses – Administration, Library/Media Center, Music and LGI (Large Group Instruction), and the Gymnasium. The buildings are designed and placed in such a fashion as to create a separation between the elementary and middle schools allowing each group their own space to play and interact. Connecting the various buildings are a series of courtyards, a common theme that is found in most Spanish/Mediterranean design.
