There are numerous items we feel differentiate us from most architectural firms. First, as a medium size firm with two principals, you are assured of more than adequate, senior level involvement in your project. When you hire us you get the entire resources of our firm.
Service
MJP is often referred to as a boutique architecture firm in part because of the high level of tailored service we provide our clients. We specialize in well designed environments for institutions – not institutional looking designs.
We work hard to meet our clients’ needs and bring with us the talents of a large architectural practice as well as the skills of a project or construction management team. Outside assistance from a project management firm is not commonly needed on our projects. As our clients will tell you, this is because we get the job done without the additional support, thus reducing the project cost for our clients.
Experience
We have significant experience in the programming and design of all areas within schools, hospitals and clinics. We are especially sensitive to the complexities of remodeling facilities where reconstruction is required to upgrade, modify or expand an existing facility and to integrate new facilities with existing ones.
We Understand Our Clients’ Operations
Perhaps more than most architects, we deal with intricate phasing of projects in order to minimize disruption of ongoing operations within a facility. The extensive experience we have with projects of this nature enables us to quickly assess the impact of phased construction programs and to assist our clients in developing suitable cost-effective options. Because of the implications on construction cost and schedule, the phasing of the project must be examined during the earliest planning stages of the project.
Long Term Clients
We are very proud of and we really enjoy having our long term client relationships. We take care of all of our clients’ needs from the not so glamorous fix-it jobs to the multi-million dollar projects with design opportunities. The small projects give us the opportunity to study and learn the infrastructure, the existing conditions and to understand the needs of both the individual user as well as the entire organization. We can then make appropriate suggestions based on our acquired knowledge. This approach reinforces our commitment to have a partnership with our clients based on mutual participation in order to provide the best solutions possible for each situation.
